How much of a mess the Iraq war was is still completely irrelevant, just like the rise of terrorism in countries that are not the US.
If we've learnt anything in 2016, it's that Islamic terrorism is a global threat. You really think the US will be spared or forgotten about in the eyes of men who hold the opinion that their way of life is the truth and the only truth? Not at all. You're responsible for destabilising the middle east, just like the UK and several other countries, which is why everyone would be sensible to take an issue like this seriously.
Sure, terrorist organisations like ISIS do not like the US - as such they have been trying to attack the US. In the most part they have been failing, what makes you think they will suddenly succeed to the point where they get 100000 times more deaths than they currently do?
But no, you'd rather focus on banning smoking while thousands of women are being raped, heads are being chopped off and buildings being blown. For me there is only one issue in this current time, and it's stopping that.
THOUSANDS??
Not only is the number definitely nowhere near even the hundreds in the USA, even if it had been in the thousands thats still under 1% of the death toll from smoking every year. The fact that the acts are more deliberate does not make it more of an issue for the country, certainly not to that extent.
