I watched it after the fact, frankly I hate them both. Pence had a much more like-able demeanor, even though he was lying left and right about the things Trump had and hadn't said. Kaine just came off as unlikable, especially when he was trying to cover for Hillary on things like her emails or her pay to play stuff with the state department and the Clinton foundation, even though he was more often on the side of the truth than Pence was on a lot of the other stuff.

I think the time during the debate when my heart sank the most was when Pence took an absolute stance against Russia and brought up the phrase that went something along the lines of "the russian bear never dies, just hibernates"

god, that's fucking scary that we're bringing back cold war ideology
