As Pouffy and Kore alluded to, the overwhelming majority of our jobs will become automated. Those jobs are gone and while a few specialised jobs may open up to replace them, there certainly will be far more unemployed people and far more people forced to accept lesser-paying jobs that may not fully support them.
This isn't necessarily a problem, it's just a change in how we're going to operate from now on. It would be negligent and ridiculous for our governments to allow all of the profit from the automation revolution to fill the coffers of corporations solely. Automation
will become taxed and this money will then be distributed through our society in the form of
basic income. Basic income means that we all receive a regular payment from the government that we would be able to live on. It's a social safety net to ensure that nobody is battling poverty while the super-rich fat cats from the automation companies dine in their decadence.
