A week is more than enough to see what generally beginners are like and I'm sure older HS could say the same thing.

Cool, but again, TA doesn't deal with stuff like one on one teaching so it's not really relevant if beginners want that sort of training. Not sure how exactly is that "poor excuse".
If you want beginner teaching then sure go ahead and debate for it, but at least do your research to know which group you're rooting for so you would at least sound convincing.
EDIT: Also telling me that 10 000 qi mean nothing in terms of beginner teaching is complete bullshit and you know it yourself. Point me to one 5th dan+ that doesn't have beginner knowledge because I really don't know what you're on about anymore
