Ranked servers are counter intuitive to having successful matchmaking and also encourage farming. The Toribash community is so small it became very easy to target the weaker players and servers and safely only secure free elo on players you know you could beat. By making matchmaking the only way to get rank, there's a huge incentive to actually using the matchmaking system. With time, experience, and more people using the system, we can fix it and make an interesting competitive scene.
