For people who have been curious: the idea is we're going to slow down the time controls as we get closer to the finals, but for the first rounds to go by quicker (since tons of people commit to tournament who aren't actually serious about participating) and as the people start getting eliminated, the games can slow down in time control.

We may honestly even do less than a week per round for the first say two rounds, because the time commitment for these matches should be like... 30 minutes between just two people. That's a mistake on my end though, I should've considered time zones in the OP. Ah well, that's why tournament 1 is a test run. Nobody is paying for this one.
