Your items and qi from the original game will stay there only.
The coin you got (depending on it's value), you will probably be able to buy things from the market of the newer game.
Just an educated guess, that's all.
Here's my assumption:
Say your tori has its own belt, tc, and items. All of that will be transferred to the new engine when it is created and released.
