The tourney was announced 4 days ago thought....the thing is that it would have been preferably an bracket, because people always get confused with timezones when it comes to one-day tournamets (as i said before). Plus, this should have been hosted on the weekend, since not everyone can afford to play too late or too early in the week.

adding to that, there is always the chance of a person not being able to show up for x or y reason, thus they lose automatically. Brackets minimize the impact of this, since they can still play their match another day. Im not saying 1-day tournamets are impractical, just somewhat more troublesome.
