When it comes to the depth part in pictures, try to use the HDR setting (I don't know if you have that function), but that can give you a better in-depth. I'm learning aswell, so this is only from my own experience.
Here's a link about different hidden angles that you want to try, that can make the picture more unique. I did find some in your pictures.
Also, keep on taking more pictures, I know you're very creative! (:

Hey thanks morcle, I go to college for photography but that article does have some pretty good inspiration on it, and I should definitely experiment more with angles so thanks for that xoxo
As for the HDR 'mode', my camera doesn't include that feature but I do bracket my exposure in order to get detail from the shadows as well as highlights.
Here's some stuff I've done with shutter speed that i didn't include for various reasons-

I basically just stood in one place for 10 seconds and then the other for 10 seconds and ran back to the camera and stood behind for the last 10, creating the appearance of a SPOOKY GHOST DUDE and his spooky bro
I mainly didn't include this because I had loads of dust on my sensor from snowdonia (wales is very dusty) and I did a ridiculous amount of clone stamping in the sky which is obvious when you look for it

This is one of the only times you'll see me using a square crop
Most people say that the flare in this is really distracting but I actually kinda like it, also I'm kinda just talking around the fact that i forgot my hecking lens hood
