it's because they're dead. they aren't on the list. They technically aren't official.

In my opinion if we think of official statuses as medals and other tangible achievements it’d make the argument a bit clear. Let’s take a sports medal for example. You get interested in a sport, you find a great team, you all work hard for months, finally get a medal in the sport. After a period of time you and your friends fall out/ don’t play the sport as much as you used to. Does that mean the sports committee should take away the medal you guys earned, just because you guys don’t compete anymore?
This metaphor is a bid biased on my side, but i see no reason at all why’d they make these clans unofficial, there have been many points given why this is a very confusing and unnecessary change when this was first announced, but i see no real response. But as much as we oppose them it seems like they will do nothing but stay quiet and enforce such rules.
