What game have you played that scared you senseless?

I recall playing FEAR alone at night, a game that requires much focus. Things are jumping out everywhere scaring you... My dad came up to the window behind me from outside and shouted something. I literally ended up on my ass.

Oh snap, I have had that game on my pc for a while, never thought to try it.

For some reason the witches on left4dead always make me shitbrix. Something about the crying..

oh and ofc the aforementioned dead space. fuck it. I'm not playing that shit again.

First game that scared me:

DOOM

I was playing late at night with all the lights off.

Some Cacodemon popped out of nowhere and scared the hell out of me.

Also, System Shock freaks me out, but more in a slow mindfuck sort of way.

So liek, I just finished Dead Space. Was pretty darn scary.

Warcry, speaking of a regenerator..... have you ever played Resident Evil 4? There is also a regenerator in it, and they don't die either. They make the worst sucking sound before you even see them, it's makes your blood run cold. If you shoot them in the legs they fall over, but then they do fucking crazy lurches, jumping through the air at you. The first time you don't expect it and it gave me a fright. Best way to kill them is to pump a shotgun into their head until they die
