BP Oil Spill
The BP Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico, is deemed the worst oil spill in the history of the United States, and can possibly be the worst oil spill of the world. The oil spill near the Gulf of Mexico on the coast of Louisiana. This happened when there was a type of mud which came into the well, and hit the gas causing the gas to shoot up 230 ft. 11 workers died from this explosion. This caused the oil to spill from the well, and was found to spill at 200,000 gallons or 5,000 barrels per day. There have been attempts to start cleaning, but some plans failed. BP started paying some fisherman to get some oil out, since they can't go commercial fishing. This has claimed to make about 100 miles of beach on the coast of Louisiana to be oil filled, and contaminated. They are making one more attempt to stop the oil gush. If this plan doesn't work, then they may not be able to attempt a clean-up until August. It is expected by then for the entire well to have completely no oil, and the gulf to have nothing but oil seen for miles.

There isn't jack shit we can do about it, I'm gonna fish the Gulf as much as possible while it lasts, but there's nothing I can do to remedy the spill, so I'm not going to go off on some environmentalist tirade about it. There's really no sense in discussing it.
This is really serious though. The result of this would be the death of many fishes, pollution that could spread around the ocean, and pollute the air.
