Does a center of gravity exist in all objects?
I didn't know if this was Discussion worthy or not, but I've been told that every single object has its own center of gravity, do you think this is true?

Why or why not?

In my opinion, I think it's true in some cases, since some objects can move, and some can't depending on their shape/size/weight. Let me know what you think.
of course they do, there is a point on any object, in a vacuum, that an object can balance on

gravitational forces are created by objects with mass moving through a 3 dimensional plane over the 4th dimension which is time ie "space/time" objects with more gravitational forces affect time more so than others. space/time is proven to exist as when we send satellites into our atmosphere time is a few ms different in speed on those satellites which in order to get a correct gps location people here on earth have to calculate for the time variance between the two.

that being said time travel is theorized in one way using this method. even though it deals with a black hole and impossible situations one way time travel has been theorized would be to get so close as to be within orbit of the black hole for a slight amount of time rotating around it at near the speed of light thus increasing your own gravitational forces and increasing the speed of time for all objects surrounding you.

(they've already covered the fact that center of gravity exists in virtually every object known to man)

where physics start to break down is on the sub molecular level, particles don't seem to react the way that physics would suggest which means physicists have to come up with a new method of physics that explains the behavior of particles on that level.

yea i figured it would seem conflicted which is why i said "virtually every object known to man" in my sentence lol. also i didn't feel like elaborating and going through all the detail in something that if they were interested in they could do a google search about thanks for elaborating though

At the start of your descent, your acceleration towards the center of the earth would be the standard 9.8, but the further you go down the hole, the more mass you leave above you. As this happens, your acceleration will decrease to zero when your body reaches the earth's center of gravity, at which point your body will be pulled in all directions equally (in an ideal world). However, once you reach that point, you will be moving fast enough to go right past the center of gravity and start to slow down due to an increasing pull of gravity in the direction you just came. I think after that, you would just go up and down for a while but eventually stop at the center of gravity if the tunnel had air in it.

This is all a guess by the way.
if you want to talk about gravity as a force in comparison to other forces gravity in the universe is relatively weak but has a longer reach than other forces.

yes newtons laws explain gravity and its effects "an object in motion must stay in motion unless acted upon by another force"

there's no mystery as to what gravity does, the mystery is to what it can do fully physics are flawed in aspects that scientists need to figure out before anyone can say 100% this is what gravity is but people can still say this is what gravity is to us as it relates to us which is what Isaac newton figured out when it came to gravity and other forces

that's why it's a discussion. some people want to learn something new or have a question about something they don't know as much as others about and want to know so we've answered that question to the best of our abilities. if you think it's unnecessary why did you take the time to say so as that in itself is redundant?
