And for my suggestions for the steam game,
I'd have to go with starbound or Terraria,
I don't really know you nor do I know your comp specs but they're both really good time wasters and don't beg for money.

Starbound is similar to Terraria except that you get a spaceship and you can go to different worlds instead of staying with the one.
Still fun though, and they aren't too expensive or hard on the cpu either.
