Man this place has been around probably six times longer than most of you have been playing the game. Activity is based off of collective morale, discipline, communication, and dedication. The reason this clan has never really taken off is because everyone always act like sheep looking to the leader to coordinate every event and get-together for them. I find it ironic how many people have hounded me about the clan being inactive and then done nothing but hinder my efforts to make it active again by either giving the clan a bad reputation or ignoring all of my pms regarding events. I must note that I'm speaking on a broad spectrum and not about any recent events necessarily, but all events as a whole.
I have made it no big secret that I have been and will be spontaneously inactive because I've been engrossed in the real world. If there was honestly any of you that I could whole-heartedly trust with the clan, I would transfer leadership immediately, but none of you, in my opinion, are ready to lead a clan; but I digress.
I have given numerous offers for leadership positions (for event coordination, recruiting, training, marketing, art, etc.), all of which would help spur activity and interest in the forums and therefore interest in group gameplay, and nearly all of you have completely ignored them.
Why should I continually try to coax a clan to thrive when it does nothing but force itself back down into the depths of apathy and immature complaining? I have nothing against this group personally, but from a leadership standpoint it is so goddamn frustrating, and that is where I will end this little rant/window into my thought process, because I figured I should lose more sleep to check up on you guys, which I'll likely regret in the morning.
As a final note to those like bloodrift (Yeah, I'm calling you out, but you aren't the only one, I promise :P) who think that forums are like an instant message board: These forums are not a goddamned instant message board. Yes, we use them to communicate, but we do NOT use them to hold inane conversations like "hey guys how's it going" "pretty good, you?" "oh fine, you know, boring shit as always" etc. After all, the title is General Discussion, not General Chatter; if you have something to talk about, by all means talk about it, but "yo I'll be on for 30 more minutes" isn't really something that belongs here. After all, you can all see if anyone else is online, and you can always search for other [elite] members by typing this in-game:
