For most of us, it our privilege to be ignorant. Our routines and comforts help us with that. Slavery is stitched into our clothes we put on in the morning. Whenever we walk to school or work, we don't think about the disabled and diseased people who cannot walk. While we eat our lavish dinner poverty is killing children around the world. And when we go to sleep, we do not dream of people without shelter and fluffy pillows.
No, we only remember these things when we must deal with it ourselves.
So imagine that you were in a position of power to change some of these things. How would you change it?

Okay, lets presume that you weren't the Wizard of Oz. You are just a highly influential person.

I'm not imagining a Utopia here War, I'm just hoping people could be a little more altruistic than they are currently.
Never the less, do elaborate on your 'shift in government' concept.

Burn All The Money, Destroy the Hierarchy of Society, and Destroy all the useless weapons, but obviously that is impossible because the very Nature of Humans is very sadistic no matter how we look at it. We try to become far from the thought of us being animals, but we still are at a more evolved form. We still do very animal like things, but with more thought into it. Since we are still like animals with more thought all we do is destroy. The only way to get off the set path we have now is too survive a global disast0r that will destroy our modern technology causing us to create new and more efficient technology and making us care more for the less fortunate people, but even then when they live in some sort of poverty it is their fault or our fault as a whole. A Utopian future can only rely on a disastor now we've come too far to turn back and gone too far to make the appropriate changes in our society nothing to do, but to continue forward, but to stay in one place to only be moved back a few steps.

Why should we care for less fortunate though if we do not care about less fortunate monkeys who live in a more hostile environment with lower living standards and everything. They are just like us, but we talk and have technology. They're just as sadistic and just as caring. As I said the only thing to do is continue forward and see what happens. Since money is the only thing that is holding EVERYONE back except the born rich or born famous or something.
