that overlay is unbearable and doesn't even match anything
you haven't really gone anywhere, if anywhere in making the general video look good in terms of fonts/ANNOYING OVERLAYS/annoying overlays/annoying overlays/color corrections/general mechanics as far as being creative with effects, and when you do be creative they aren't displayed or created well.

i would be furious if i was the leader of this clan who paid for THAT intro that i could teach someone to make in ten minutes taking up the whole video, followed by a black overlay basically lowering the opacity of the replays

not sure what youre doing after the "wip" i see every time i watch one of your videos, but i hope you at least make up for the 12 year intro

So, i'm just gonna go ahead and give you a tip about the introduction. As for myself i really like the way you introduce the players so that the people who are in it can feel that they have gotten credit to some level. What you could do is have the names pop-up during their first appearances in the video. this would give you a better sight of the players style (I know almost if not all the first intro replays were by Skywhale).

The atmosphere (Im not sure what is it called.) It's too dark, I think.
Well, It's just dark. But the way you 'buzz' the sun and the moves is nice. Suited the song well.

So I will pass over and only take the constructive cristicism.

About the overlay, it is too opaque and reduces color correction and contrast. I took this overlay because of its fluid movements, like liquid, and the sparks particles to remind Clan name: Nitro. I will, of course, seek to improve the result, but I will not change it, it is in my opinion the atmosphere that I try to give to the video. The Nitro members love that overlay, I think it fit with the clan, but yeah, it needs more work.

The sun transition style needs some work in some places, I agree with that.

About the introduction, it is a clan video, every member want a good visibility of his textures and his name, I prefer to keep a long intro, like I did for Urban, even if some of you could find it boring.

About the sync... My sync is off ? I can just laugh about that, sorry.

keep in mind that i had already posted in this thread respectfully and am making it more clear what's wrong, because he doesn't get it

haven't people told you enough throughout your whole experience as a video maker that your atmospheres are bad? you change the shader so many times in this video, every point the cc doesn't match it. no joke, you have all these bright shaders with cc over them that makes the joints completely different colors and a BLACK smoke overlay on top of it. in what way is that even close to being something you want to look at? it's like a kid at school wearing every color on the spectrum in one outfit and not expecting to get made fun of/any other sort of negative attention.

the overlay having some intricate meaning to the name NITRO doesn't matter nor do we, the viewers, really care for that. we are watching the video and it appears
clearly if the overlays LOOKED good then you wouldn't hear about it 3 times in your art thread.

this is how you use an overlay to make a video LOOK good, not just slapping it on top and keeping it there the whole time. (if avi was using one instead of that)
there has to be a purpose to it pertaining to that moment of the video. the purpose doesn't mean "oh hey sparks remind me of the word nitro.. XDD"

i can laugh about your sync too, especially after picking a random point in the video, and seeing the spar starting at 2:29
the replay literally just goes back and forth 3 frames or so a few times to replicate a glitchy look, which flat out doesnt cut it.
the overlay keeps going at the same pace.
the flash is near a whole second off and doesn't have anything to do with the replay, he literally kicks and after he starts landing you decide to shit out that flash on top of the video. even when the sync is timed right it's chosen poorly.




do not disregard what people say, or even flat out make fun of people for their criticism. it doesn't matter if you really agree that they're right or not because chances are a three to one opinion might as well be the right one. a video with bad shaders iced with color correction used incorrectly and topped off with a hideous overlay that makes this a genuinely ugly looking video. the editing is a completely different story, the look at all is just too much.

not hate, i just don't have the patience with you anymore. you have always made the same mistakes and its old

use any other editor as an example of what better color correction looks, because no matter how many times i've told you, you just don't seem to grasp what color correction is even for.

I do actually think you're improving a little bit but your choices of overlays are still a little odd, especially the smoke one in this video

Half the time the smoke is blocking what's going on in the video, I wouldn't mind smoke being around the action but it keeps on going in front of the tori so it's a little difficult to see what's going on

If you're going for a glitchy style you should try to watch some of Moop's videos as he edits really well on glitch-hop music
