i am still dealing with the aftermath of burnout i experienced last year++ some awful awful stuff that happened start of this year.
almost everything in my life is just a carefully built front that i've been forced to create, designed to meet certain peoples expectations, filling their demands, and i dont even want to be doing these things and dont have the power to keep doing them in general and i am not allowed to quit.
same people who demand these things from me, have insane amount of control over my life and if i fail them i will be dead.
i am expected to keep this up forever from all i can see, with no way out
Sisyphus must be happy. He's been doing it for so long, so he would've figured it out.
I like to think he puts things into perspective. He imagines Prometheus getting eaten by those birds every day and says 'Well, at least I'm not him'.
When you can't control what's happening to you, you can still control your mindset and how you react. Talking to people you trust about it helps with having your feelings validated also. I don't know your specifics, but this holds true always.

I've recently been thinking a lot about how many of the people who were once in my life no longer are, and what that means to me. It does bother me with how okay I have been historically with moving on from relationships I maybe shouldn't have, and how much I held onto ones that are not in any way good for me. I don't believe I've improved on this even with my recent introspection, but it has helped me... grieve? the loss of people who may have needed me far more than I evidently felt I needed them at the time.
If any of you feel as if that categorisation applies to you, I'm sorry and I owe you. Please reach out. I'm trying
That's beautiful and I guarantee to you that even just by thinking about this, you're on the path to becoming a much better person that 95% of others. This sort of introspective work will do wonders for your future relationships with people, and it will definitely result in you being a much more caring and capable person.

I think we've probably reached the high water mark for American civilisation, but it probably depends on where you sit whether or not the good times roll. If you're earning income from a job instead of assets you'll probably be in that permanent underclass.
America's top dog status depends on how the other dogs look at it. It looks weak. It's not a dependable governor of world events any longer. Petrodollar was predicated on US being able to protect the Gulf States - The current conflict shows that they don't have their interests at heart and that they don't have the capacity to militarily protect them like they once could. Iran called their bluff and now everyone sees they're holding 2-7 off suit. China has their own problems, but when it comes to the battle for hegemony, they're holding pocket Aces.
I think the most interesting question with America has to do with whether or not some kind of revolution occurs. They're sort of hoping AI will save everything and work as a gigantic deflationary measure, but if it falls short, then the reality of the situation will stoke more dissent. Y'all need to keep shooting billionaires until you get some guaranteed UBI or something. They need to pacify you all in some way or else they're cooked.

Never thought I'd be like that either, money only has value because we give it value, its not even real yet to participate in society and do the stuff I want to do I need it.
And in this endless pursuit of numbers on a screen, am I staying true to my soul purpose. What am I really meant to do, how am I meant to do it? Analysis paralysis, too many options, too much freedom, the dizzying anxiety of this freedom. Indecision is the worst decision a lot of the time.
I feel as if I'm running out of time but also trusting I'm exactly where I should be? I know deep down, somehow it will all work out if I stay positive, such is the nature of life you get what you focus on.
The easiest thing to do is to start regularly investing. Commodities are always great. Copper and uranium are lynchpins of the future. You could make some pick and shovel plays with AI also (think data centre infrastructure). On paralysis by analysis, if you commit to regular fortnightly investments, you eliminate the risk of buying 'at the wrong time' since it averages out, this is called DCA (dollar-cost averaging).

Look into the 'K-shaped economy'. With temperance and commitment, it's still possible to get ahead.
