I really like this song both as a listener and singer of it.

You're using youtube tag wrong. Don't use the full hyperlink; only use the playback id. It should look like this: (youtube)BUYdbSxLy(/youtube)

With Metallica actually releasing a good song for the first time in 26 fucking years, here's one of my favorites...
Not so much a technique, but a principle
So, training for a wrestling tournament recently has me thinking about mat domination. I find that in wrestling, and to some extent in judo, it's always an advantage to dominate the center of the mat space in a fight, that said, you can still lose with good "center control," but it's never a bad thing to have. Watching some replays here and there has made me realize how much I use center control in Toribash. Aikido.tbm and greykido.tbm for sure has a large amount advantages that come with center control. This isn't as direct when it comes to ABD, but definitely has a place, it's obvious you want your opponent between you and the closest border of the dojo. I've noticed how much I use center control in Toribash, and maybe you guys can realize how crucial it is in most aikido mods.
Some replays demonstrating good "center control." Notice the position of my tori in relation to the center of the dojo, and how I aim to get my opponent out of the center ASAP.

This can also be combined quite naturally with cornering them on the edge of the dojo to force errors in foot work to open up throw oppotunities. I willl post replays if i get access to a computer mine died again.

[TA] Forum Event
(originally posted in the council board)

We really should organize a big aikido tournament. It will be good to put the team aikido name out in public. I'm willing to host and sponsor around 100k for the prize. Other sponsors will be greatly appreciated. This tournament will be available to the public, not just TA members.
In order to prevent lifting and shoveling, I suggest we use the rouxkido mod. We need to continue testing it to be sure it's event-worthy. I think we should rename it to something catchier and name the event after it. Suggestions? (Rouxkido mod has super high gravity and modded toris if you didn't already know)

To do:
-organize and brainstorm
-tournament bracket
-prizes
-extra prizes (best replay, most decaps, etc.)
-add a twist
-format an op
-get art for the op
Optional: http://forum.toribash.com/showthread.php?t=457566
-get sponsored by ES
-get banner for extra promotion
-get item forgers to make 3d item for winner

---
Feel free to post your ideas for the event. Any donations/help with artwork will be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: We are going to do a smaller forum event before we attempt the above event.
EDIT2: We will use aikidobigdojo

I like this idea, but we should call the mod Rouxdo, or Rouxstling, or Rouxjitsu just something more clever and catchy. There is only one thing I can suggest for the mod -- fracs. Some extra prize ideas could be: Most powerful throw, fastest foot sweep, and most aggressive player.
Judo - Yoko Otoshi (Side drop)
I've finally collected enough replays of this throw to bring it you guys' attention. Yoko otoshi is a typically sacrifice throw in real life, but it doesn't have to be. Block your opponent's leading leg with the inside of your leading leg and throw them over it. Thuis video may give you some good understanding: Replays below:
