Clan League 2018

It's finally here! sorry! Gather your clan mates, wake up the inactive and get ready for Clan League 2018!
Time is now for your clan to rise up and usurp the belt from Alpha.
Will the conquest of Alpha be over? Or will they reign victorious for another year?

Rules for participation are as follows:

•Anyone found to be in multiple rosters on alternate accounts will be punished. This includes being in several accounts in one roster
•Failure to organise matches will result in disqualification for both clans, unless one clan has been shown to be making more effort.*
•Reporting match scores should include the score clearly, a list of participants and all replays.

*Not including group phase*

This year we're doing a dual phase tournament, this means a group stage and a final stage.

Within your groups you will do a round robin, fighting each clan twice.
The top two clans per group will advance to the final stage, except for the two clans with the least points.
This brings 27 clans down to 16 for the final knockout stage.
The final stage will be a standard single elimination, with a reverse gradient seed (eg starting with 1st vs 16th, 2nd vs 15th, 3rd vs 14th and so on.)

The rules for the quarter finals phase are as follows:
  • A single player can play no more than 3 different modes.
  • A single player can play no more than 5 matches in total.
  • A single player can play no more than 3 matches per mod.
  • Deadline for the quarter finals will be October 7th.
  • 5 Different modes, 5 matches each round, best of 25 (or first to 13).

Modes:

Lenshu3ng.tbm
Taekkyon.tbm
judofrac.tbm
aikidobigdojo.tbm
boxshu_mushu_v3.tbm

it's completely shattering all our chances of practicing for the ABD, not to mention how it's a punishment against Obey for staff's mistake
Weeks have gone into our players preparing for their CL mod

It's sad to see you take the decision in favor of the clan who doesn't deserve it
TGS did so many dirty things, from pinging and claiming it wasn't our point to trying to force us to all come together at once although we couldn't
Staff somehow took the side of TGS, citing how there's no rule about having to play matches all at once or not, and Tinerr's solution to this was threatening to make up 3 times to play the games and if we couldn't come that would be it. Absolutely taking the side of TGS

The rule clearly has been and still is that the clan who makes an effort in case two clans don't play their games gets the win, but special things happen when TGS asks staff things ig

I feel like just not taking part in this shitshow when all staff does is ruin things and support people who are part of ruining a good event
We in Obey did all we could to ensure we were in the right
we've been participating in good faith against all this bullshit
this is the least fair decision you could come to, once again favoring TGS.

Don't know how you've managed to flip this and blame TGS lmao.
It's somehow our fault that your clan mate broke the rules?
It's our fault the servers were bad and we kept pinging(staff gave you guys multiple ping wins so idk your point here)?
It's our fault we had a specific way of playing matches while you had yours and Tinerr managed to find a middle-ground?
Every single post/message I see from you somehow manages to avoid making sense altogether it's frankly sad

but, you did. If that was not what you were going for you would not have brought it up.
Hey fellas!

I've noticed the matches with Alpha, have been going well. So gg's so far good luck!

In regards to this Felnin problem, I'm noticing quite a few issues in regards to how/when/why this is being brought up and how it's being handled. And even, how relevant it is.

Firstly, staff is mentioning Felnin played matches for Desolate on an alt, and due to this he is unable to play for Obey and his matches should be forfeit.

However, in the very few (two) posts I could find even regarding matches that Desolate played, the evidence was extremely scarce. Furthermore, it would appear, according to the fact that 0 of the matches Desolate played for CL were counted in the Group Stage of Clan League, that they were DQ'd in the Group Stage.

This would lead me to believe that since no matches were counted for Desolate, due to the fact that they were DQ'd, that this particular argument may be a non-issue.

Since I assume these rules are in place to keep Clan League fair, and we're looking for issues that are going to directly effect outcomes of the entire tournament, worrying about matches that weren't counted played over a month ago for a Clan that was DQ'd may not be entirely relevant.

Secondly, is the timing in which this is being brought up.

We are in the literal last matches of CL, in the finals, hours away from the finals being decided. The application process for CL, during which staff looked over alts in each clan for about 5 days, occurred about 2-3 months ago. This is as last minute as it could possibly get. Staff have had about (as previously mentioned) 2-3 months to notice, what you admit was an ES mistake. Being quite direct, that's an incredibly long time.

No matter the reasoning for why this was noticed just now, it's simply too late. So many matches have been played up until now, so much time has passed (2-3 months) and the entire event almost ended before you noticed this problem. It really is just far too late to make this ruling, no matter the reasoning, Obey shouldn't be punished for the ES's negligence and last minute rulings. As Hatt has previously mentioned we did our due diligence in ensuring the members playing for Obey were allowed to do so, and we were given the green light (as evidence by the fact we passed the application process). I understand there are rules, but this fact, combined with the fact that Desolate's matches didn't even count makes me heavily question this decision.

And even moreso, the way this is being presented is quite odd I have to say. Assuming this ruling was made not as last minute as it most certainly is, and assuming Desolate's matches had even the slightest effect on Clan Leagues' outcome, it is still rather baffling to me that ES would find it wise to discount the wins Felnin had accrued in these recent matches, but keep his losses. This is just plain wrong, as you have mentioned before it was an ES mistake. If that is the case, every match including his losses should be replayed as it was not a fault of Alpha,TGS, or Obey. This just feels to me, as though this decision was made extremely last minute (which it most certainly was) and Obey is getting the raw end of the deal because of it.

There has been no accounting for the fact that Desolate's matches didn't even count in the Group Stage. There has been no accounting for the fact that this decision was made hours before finals would have ended. And furthermore the way the ruling has been handled up until this point has been questionable to say the least.

I appreciate that ES is taking full responsibility and whatnot, but it's just far too late to make this kind of ruling, and it's also not even remotely relevant as far as Desolate is concerned as proven by my points above.

I'm not even going to get into how we directly contacted staff members previously regarding alts in our clan, or how other situations in CL have been handled up until this point.

I'd really like this ruling to simply be reversed, and allow us to finish our matches with Alpha as we planned to do literally today.
