What is your opinion of social networks? Are they the greatest thing ever since email? Are they a waste of time and pointless beyond belief? Your favorite social network? What makes one social network better than others?

In my opinion social networks are somewhat useful, in that you can communicate with friends and such, but the same thing can be accomplished by using chat services like aim or msn. It's useful to find more information on people that you want to know more about and that seems to be the main attracting thing about social networks, I'd have to say facebook is the best social network because of its huge database of users and the ability to create groups and other features that other networks simply don't have, as well as being the only social network that i have an account on.

eh, they arent bad, people waste a whole fuck of a lot of time on them (which I can claim to have done at least once) but they do have good sides to, like that it pretty much how I keep in touch with my brothers and sisters and cousins, who all live in other states.

no i use groups for school projects with 10+ people so we can coordinate our efforts.

Social networks is bad in my opinion. Like facebook who made that every human you meet you make him as friend. And it's like to show your all personality to him with facebook. And mostly people on facebook has hundrends of friend, can't keep track of real friends and just waste time surfing throught things what many "friends" are doing.
And they could spend all that wasted time for some better or educational reasons.

Social networks are a great way to connect to friends and meet and connect with new friends. It is great cause it allows you to keep in touch with people you went to school with years ago. My favorite by far is Facebook, it seems a lot safer than most other social networking sites.

did you realize that a long time ago English had conjugated verbs
even as late as shakespeare give, giveth for example
we still conjugate the third person singular for some odd reason

well i suddenly grew tired of trying to make a point but...

language shouldn't be held back by the idea that i can't do what i want with a word
I use acids as a verb
I drop the g from ing
and i pronounce "than" as "then"
and the as "the" not "thee"

language changes and while i hate when i hear "oh" "em" "gee"
its not really hurting anything so life goes on

also i truly hate text messaging
and i continue a rigid policy of hitting people when they text while in a conversation with me.
it takes all the human out of communication

i dont like twitter, because in my country twitter is only for politic stuff like "OMG WE DONT LIKE CHAVEZ OMG!!11..." and tweetin' is boring
