The Diversity of Toribash.
I was in a room earlier today and almost everyone was from a different country.
It's honestly fantastic that this game appeals to people all around the world.
I may seem like a complete idiot, or an easily amused child.
But honestly, if you think about it.
These countries don't get along in the real world.
It's glad to see people coming together who normally wouldn't.

I sound like a fucking hippy.
Here is a picture.

Havent seem many Slovaks around, maybe like 2, both of em inactive.

But yeah, tb is diverse as hell. I regard it as a succes for the TB team, making a game & game/forum enviroment friendly to people from all around the world. Truly a great achievement

Besides lingual barriers, the main negative is that there could be cultural clashes, but i've barely even seen that. Russians and 'muricans seem to be getting along just fine, for example, and all questionable behaviour i've seen comes down to the individual.
As for positives? Loads, but i believe that a big one is that we get to see that nationality doesn't define the personality. On top of that, learning about how things work in other countries can be fascinating (and occasionally saddening/terrifying).

I don't follow politics, so i'll just skip this one.

Well, for one, i've gotten more aware of just how nice we have it up here in little Denmark, but for a slightly less egocentric benefit, i've had contact with SO MANY DIFFERENT PEOPLE that the question of their nationality rarely crosses my mind any more. Unless you're from Denmark and in my area (because hey, it has happened once before), nationality simply doesn't matter to me. In the small circlejerk group of active users in the ORMO IRC alone, i can recall other people from Spain, Portugal, USA, Canada, Sweden, Finland, Germany, England and oh my god i can't remember all these countries so i just don't bother with it, and this is after having been absent for months. This is a good thing, because my brain is veeeeeery quick to generalize.

... Would still be fun to see more danes, but okay, we're few in number. :v (and for some reason, many early adolescent danes feel the need to blurt out that HELLO IM FROM DANMARK :DDD wherever there's a global chat)

One of the biggest positives is the fact that people can insight on another persons culture. In a politic/propaganda free environment, you can actually learn what it is like to live in certain countries. I.E our Indian players have told me, their country is not as bad as the news makes it seem.

Most definitely. As I stated above, a political/propaganda free conversation will give you an actual perspective on life elsewhere. If you want to culture yourself, look no further than the internet.

I wouldn't necessarily say it has. I think it has really opened my eyes on things I was already aware of. But I see no real benefit from being exposed to other countries. But I would have to pick a minor one, I'd say I'm a far more cultured person than I was. I'm now aware of food groups other than maple syrup and bacon.
