"Weaboo", "Otaku", "Japanophile" etc are synonymous with each other. Otaku and Weaboo are sometimes used in a derogatory way, but they're relatively the same. The largest difference is probably that Otaku can be applied to Japanese people, as well.
They are too subjective to be used incorrectly. I am referred to and will refer to myself as a Weaboo, yet my "like" for Japan only extends as far as Anime, Manga and music. I do not go around chanting random Japanese words, neither do I prefer Japan to my home country (I've only been to the the place once).
