I started reading the manga ages ago and then dropped it for some reason, guess il pick it up again then since you all approve of it.

We (amongst people I know) call ourselves Weaboos. It's a worthless word and means nothing, apart from liking Japanese stuff, mainly Anime, Manga and their music.

"Weaboo", "Otaku", "Japanophile" etc are synonymous with each other. Otaku and Weaboo are sometimes used in a derogatory way, but they're relatively the same. The largest difference is probably that Otaku can be applied to Japanese people, as well.

They are too subjective to be used incorrectly. I am referred to and will refer to myself as a Weaboo, yet my "like" for Japan only extends as far as Anime, Manga and music. I do not go around chanting random Japanese words, neither do I prefer Japan to my home country (I've only been to the the place once).
