The kicks were pretty nice but they didn't look that realistic and your arms looked pretty stiff throughout the replay.

Arms were stiff indeed.
Your right leg looked akward on the first kick.
The rest was pretty damn great, it was fast and fluid.

I never really care about realism in tricking.
oh yeah

I must admit, they do look pretty damn odd.

Yeah, the kicks are the main thing though, been attempting to see how much more transitions you can do if you hold your knees halfway through a contraction.

The second jumpup after the spin was good but would've almost broken your foot irl.

Yeah, the foot was a bit of a bitch, as I was in a really awkward position before the pose transition, even in that I would of most likely damaged a few joints irl.

I didn't actually notice that, thanks for pointing that out.

Thanks you three, I really did need some advice on this replay.

Hokay, two choices.

Make this new replay 1000 frames and continue it, or just keep it and start the destructive replay.

Been attempting to clean up the flaws with arm movement as well, a few flaws on this replay I'd like to note; frame 228 minor ghosting, foot movement around frame 380 and there are some other random stuff here and there, but I'm too lazy to go in-depth on my own replay.

Both replays (Shotgun with... and Cross shave) shows that you know how to move your body.

Tho:
1) I cant find a nice fl0w in either of them
2) Yay, lets all just play with the fact that joints can pass through each other (second replay)
3) I must say that you are way to stiff to make the replays look appealing in any way.

I believe the worst critics are those not concise, and not the ones being a bit to hard on you.
Now doing recoloring for people not in the clan as-well, PM for more info!

You're actually one of the only people who has done a criticism of this level on my recent threads. I mean, you're even more critical than me, and that's saying something, because I dislike my own replays.

I really don't think you understand the term "flow" that well (even though it's in your clan name). Flow is actually how well the replay fits together, you don't find flow, you keep it and break it.

The way flow is broken is caused by a near instantaneous change in velocity (Speed and direction etc), this explains why some openers look worse than the replay itself.

And about the ghosting, it is the only way you can do that kind of rotation if I am correct, and I would rather go for creativity involving ghosted joints rather than just some random generic thing without any form of ghosting at all.

Stiff replays really aren't that bad, in fact they're better than extremely relaxed replays because of the fact that you don't flop about all over the place. The problem with stiff replays is that it can be worse than a fully relaxed replay if you're incredibly stiff (barely any relaxed joints).

Here's what I dislike when I look at my own things to prove a point that I'm not a dickhat; The length of the intro was too long (second replay), the replay were too slow, I dislike the fact that the second replay isn't flawless (0 self damage) and I also don't like the jumpy bit at the start of the first replay.

I understand that there are a lot of flaws in this replay, but you don't seem to be picking them up correctly.

1) The entire replay flowed perfectly. He didn't flail around randomly like half the people who post replays.
2) The only joints that 'passed threw' each other was the knee and lower leg in the first 40 frames. Other than that, there was nothing that ghosted threw.
3) Your opinion of stiff is really off. He balanced Hold and relax perfectly in the second one. The first one was on the stiff side. Although noob was never a realism player. So, I don't blame him.

I want to see you do -30 replays like that. It's quite hard.
I refuse to let you rant on my boyfriend in this tone.
Go away, he needs love too.

Noob: I love you, and you're replays. Make moar

You have a good point on the first one. I'm going to rework the replay a bit more.

Make love to me now.

I already talked about Shotgun with a Shotgun on the IRC, so onto Cross Shave.

The moment you stopped at the start did look a bit stiff, specially the arms.
The spin was nicely done, I like spins with them knees together.
You totally broke the flow when you extended the glutes for the decap, I think it was a bad choice.
The first punch was clean and great, but the second one wasn't as clean even though it was a great boomhit for such a weak punch.
The glute punch was the best of them all, it was clean and glute booms always look more destructive then everything else.
oh yeah
