For me it was seeing logic decapitate 2 people back to back in public wushu with movements that made no sense at all to me at the time. He was streaking for fun and wrecked me with zero effort. It was awesome. Now I play to show people high level comeback and head hunting skills because they're not as well represented as I would like. You can win without running or using an aggressive opener and it's more fun that way, especially if there is a skill gap. The more experienced player should take more risks and try to farm aura. Risk dq. Do the cool thing instead of the safe thing. I hope to bring some of that energy back.

Does this same energy also include spectating before the match ends when you’re about to lose, so your opponent doesn’t win elo?
I apologize for speccing on you, but the way you were playing really pissed me off. Making me do all the comebacks and waiting in crab, then hitting and running even when I was already out of range... I haven't had that little fun playing toribash since cowmeat and wounder. I'd like to offer you a change of perspective... try to get yourself decapped by a newer player. Throw a lot of punches and chase recklessly. If you play to cut off any chance the opponent has, it's just not as fun. You narrow down a game with endless possibilities to a few predictable and boring outcomes. It drives away both new players and old creative ones like myself. You're uninspiring and forgettable.
Not sure if this is how an A tier player should rationalize having all his options exhausted and utterly defeated
