Hampa had one too many...
Oh no,
Hampa has had a few too many, and now you have to get him home safely, otherwise we are all boned.
Goal: Give some sort of proof that Hampa made it home safely. If he doesn't, there goes our fun!
Rules: How will Hampa make it home? Well, this is where you come in
your task is to build a story around this short clip
How did Hampa get there? What are he and veb saying? And how will he get home to his family?
That is all up to you. Your options for entering are open, you can make a video, make a series of replays, or draw pictures. Text stories will not be accepted. If you want to enter with a medium not expressed here, ask first to avoid confusion. The main rule to follow is that you work off of this clip. Its like those kids book where you write your own ending, only know you have to write an ending AND a beginning and hopefully add some dialogue to the middle.
The goal is to build a good story. You can have the best effects on the planet, but if your story sucks, you wont win. So even if all you can do is MS paint, enter. You have just as good a chance as winning as anyone else.
1st prize: 73,438 TCs Full Ivory. Full Tyrian. One Acid head Flame AND a full Bronze pack.
2nd prize:5k in Murray and Dirtnap's shop.
3rd prize:5k in Murray and Dirtnap's shop.
Deadline: This is a complicated contest, so the deadline will be extended, but it is schedualed to end on January 16th, 2010.
Within the next day I will have an HQ download of the clip available. Using it will not be required to win and will not nescicarily increase your chances for winnig. All that matters is that Hampa gets home safely and that you show us how it happened.
A final word. This contest is confusing, if you have ANY questions, post them in this thread, I will answer them ASAP and do my best to work around language issues.
second and third place prizes are subject to change, and all donations are welcome

Judging: Judging will be done first by myself, Zeromano, and vorDo, who were the first two people to PM me after reading the white text that used to be in this post. Us three will select the best portion of entries, and from there the community will vote on which one deserves to win. All judges are still eligible to win.

O.k., here we go. About 3 months later, and we are at the end. Thanks everyone for being so patient, I know it sucks waiting on stuff like this and Im sorry I put you through it. I probably wont ever host another comp though, so eh, in a way Im glad it stretched out :P
Since it has taken so long, and since there a lot of good entries, I have decided to say a little about each one. I can't give everyone a prize, but I feel like they deserve to be acknowledged. So if you just want to see who won, scroll down
demon0092: It seems like you were worried about the artwork, but honestly that was my favorite part :P Its not epic realism or anything, but I like it. I just wish there was more story going on, it seems like it could have gone somewhere if you would have added more to it. But, eh, its always hard being the first entry because you have less to build by way of other entries and how they are received.
havokFX: Awesome work man. Both vids are funny and well made, the comic has a nice look to it, and the stories are coherent and get people interested. Personally I liked the first video better, the story has more action and humor, plus the scene where veb says "now I will go eat pringles" as just perfect with his pose and the camera. The second video I didnt like as much story wise, but the editing was a tad smoother.
Sangetsu: More than I expected from this comp sexuality wise :P The video was great, and the story was perfect because you addressed something that was going on on the forums at the time. I don't mean to sound dramatic here, but I like fiction best when it is used to comment on real life (or in this case forum) situations, some writers call it "telling the truth by lieing" and while you clearly made some exaggerations, I like that you had the balls and insight to do that
HelloBob: I liked the video, and that you used a lot of mods I also dont mind the no sound :P but the story itself was confusing at times. Why does veb challenge hampa to a final match, after they have both saved each others lives?
Scracky: I like the artwork, and I like where it was going, but there just wasnt enough to it story wise :/ what happened before/after his girl beat him up?
KoviRobi: Definitely the biggest surprise of the event I know that the look was secondary for this comp, but however you did this it reminds me of POVray renders, wich reminds me of when I first started. As for the story, I really like it also, I think it was the only one where veb isn't plotting to kill Hampa or rob him :P also superpuke being trademarked ftw.
