I would if i could. Unfortunately our database doesn't log what made users decide to change their password. But i do get the impression that quite a few have, based on conversations both via PMs and IRC.

No. This seems to be a common misunderstanding: You can access your own account from as many locations as you like, as it is still only you accessing it. It should be noted that logins from many locations is what often triggers the shared-account-warning-lights, but as long as you keep your locations to a reasonable amount, then you're OK.
