I'm DrHax#1235 on NA servers. I decided I think it'd be fun to try to get legendary this season, starting from Rank 20 which is essentially unranked. Will post updates and thought processes if wanted.

Currently made it to #17 no problems playing around with Patron Warrior. It's.... interesting.

Playing around with a ton of decks ATM. Patron Warrior takes up too much of the meta for me to play right now. It's early season, people tend to grind on zoo, face hunter, tempo mage, with patron and hand lock sprinkled here and there. Very few rogues, Paladins, shamans, or priests on ladder.

Think this calls for Ramp Druid

Fucking saltstone, a friend introduced me to this a while back. I love and fucking hate this game.
They should fix the ladder rewards. (there is no point in it other than facing hunters)
Arena is the way to go, I usually get from 5 - 10 wins. Just enough to get free packs and make some gold.
I never really believed in luck but after plaing this game... rng hates me.

It's more of the fact of WHEN you're playing Oracle.

Seasons reset at the end of the month, you barely get any bonus stars. I think the highest players in the world start at Rank 15 in the next month to put things in perspective. tl;dr: You're probably playing higher ranked players because its early in the season

Climbed to Rank 12 with minimal difficulty. I find that once you get to about rank 10, you only see the "competitive" decks, such as Control/Patron Warrior, Ramp Druid (Taunt or Combo variant), Oil/Miracle Rogue, Fatigue/Freeze/Mech Mage, Aggro/Mech Shaman, Zoo/Handlock/SOME(Barely)Demonlock, Quartermaster Paladin, Face/MidRange Hunter, and control Priest. Usually with every best in slot card.

5-10 is just "do you know how to use the deck in each match up"

And Rank 5 to Legend feels like really tough decision making.



I still would enjoy reaching legendary for the first time this season. I have a weakness for changing decks all the god damn time though. Also I have 1800 dust and don't know which Legendary I want. The only competitive ones I don't own that I can think of are King Mukla, Gahzrilla, Malorne, and Onyxia. Obviously all of those are stretches, but I already have like... pretty much all the legendaries one would need.

@drahax the hardest grind is rank 5-3. from there on you often face low legendary players who are making fun decks and shit. as for deck swapping i recommed you use one deck that you like to play the most and the one you think you've mastered. at 1 loss, take a deep breath and queue up. at 2 losses in a row, 10 minute break. at 3 losses I either call it a day or take a 30-60 minute break depending on my salt levels.

I've been playing patron warrior a lot lately, but when I get frustrated I just use face hunter and go on a streak. such a boring deck though.
