Great start, but not done yet obviously. I just like that they took the time to care about this.

The system needs matchmaking or at least pseudo match making. You really should only get rank from equivalent skilled players. Not Qi based, but ELO based. Whether that means creating a functional matchmaking system, or simply having ELO brackets for which room you were allowed to join.


Additionally, most games don't display your rank when you're playing unranked. It's only really relevant when you're playing in ranked. Since now more than ever we're starting fresh, I'd imagine many people prefer not being forced to associate their rank when just playing with friends casually. Toribash being a game of unbelievably endless customization, I think controlling whether or not you show off your rank should be easy enough. Hell - make it like a head avatar to show your rank and you've now got the option if you want to or not AND you sink TC. Win win!
