Ranking changes
I'm updating our ranking system. Rankings will reset every month and only some servers will have ranking enabled on them.
Whats new from today:
- Only selected servers will be ranked. "This is a ranked server")
- Before ranked matches you'll get a message. "This is a ranked match (#rank vs #rank)"
- I've enabled ranking on the tourney1-8 servers. Admins can put ranking on any server they please.
Whats coming:
- On the 1st of August I'll clear the current rankings. Yes, all rankings will reset.
On the last of the month will be able to have special events for the best players of that month.
This is still in development so if you have any suggestions feel free to post in this thread.

I feel that a matchmaking system needs to be implemented so that you can link up with someone of a similar rank to yours that is also looking for a match in the same mod that you are and fight each other. The server would kick both players out after the match is done and they will need to matchmake again to find another. And to lengthen the ranked battle you could treat it like clan wars and have a best out of three matches with one person. The players go their seperate ways one gaining the normal 2 elo points and the loser losing 2 elo points. This system can continue to use the current elo point system but in a more competitive style.
Also a monthly rank leaderboard is a must.
A matchmaking system was in the works by hampz, but then got discontinued for some unknown reason. I think everyone would LOVE a matchmaking system!!
What's better is a matchmaking system, with global/friend chat so that you can talk with friends while playing..or just ingame irc.

It's a shame you're planning to use a biased official mod list for it tho. Like wushu players who are interested in ranks will be kinda force to play 5+ years old wushu mods instead of the better actual ones ? It also misses 2 good more recent grappling mod (aikido7 and swfixed).
Same for any possible new mods being released ? We'll have to wait forever for it to become "official" and have ranks for it ?
