If I could add to his testimony a tad, a ranking system is one of the most important parts of the competitive cookie! Players coming into this game need a sense of direction of where to work towards and how, but the advice they get is all over the place because one minute they see a clan ranked #5 in Clan Ranks and the next minute they're being told that clan isn't super splendiferous and to ignore Clan Ranks. One minute they see a player with a global rank of 5 and crap themselves, the next they're told ranks are done poorly and ignore those too.

Never have I ever seen a game where people go "You shouldn't pay attention to the belt the player has, the rank she has, the clan ranking she has, her global rank, or her items! Things aren't in place for a good competitive scene that justly places people in a bracket based off their ability in the 10 years this game is been out. They are talking about adding one soon though! ^^"
