In real life you can be a competent human being and ignore them if you get butthurt over their words, or more realistically in my generation, blame all of your failures and emotions on everyone else so a) everything offends you even if it was obviously not offensive, or b) you stop trust everyone.

Ironically, the above also applies to the internet, and I'm willing to bet that most people that report stupid little race issues that really aren't race issues fall under the (a) category. I'll also probably be reported for pointing out that all of those people aren't in touch with their feelings, thus offending them.
