Sup I'm staff, but I'm not going to speak on their behalf.
TBH I wouldn't expect a real response, release month is a busy time.

You're far better off waiting for release, then sparking up the discussion

Moving away from the staff side

IMO it's no surprise with the items etc. Everyone got some TBN currency years ago, and you can't seriously expect them to make a new game in a new engine yet keep everything from the old game. That'd be like the Wii players complaining about items...
People still play TBWii, a whole 53 of them across 3 regions. So if an obscure Wiiware title that requires a modded console & game patch still has people playing it online, I doubt TB is going to straight up die over night

I dunno, TB's a 17 year old game. Personally I'd rather not have old stuff janked into what's supposed to be a new game just to people please

<Erf> SkulFuk: gf just made a toilet sniffing joke at me
<Erf> i think

ya know I agree for the most part we cant expect everything to transfer over but the problem is NOTHING IS GUNNA CARRY OVER. This isn't the Wii, this is the PC huge difference. We have 0 road maps, 0 updates, and nobody is excited. After 7 years I can easily say for the majority of the community we expect more clarity, communication and have clear standards of why this TbN is launching the way it is.

I went out my way to check the stats on the community servers for it, seems most are using the US/Jap clients. Only 7 people were using the 50hz PAL release.

TBH I wasn't much of a fan of the online cos Nintendo, but the local multiplayer worked surprisingly well

Communication has never been the dev team's thing, and the staff that do talk generally don't have access to proper info and are in no position to announce or promise stuff that isn't going to happen

I'll agree that dev has dragged, no one was planning on it taking this long. Shit happens, real life situations change & it all has a knock on effect

However the rest is entirely normal for game development - including niche indie stuff

Companies aren't there to be your friend, they have bills to pay, wages etc. That means the game needs to make money, which wont happen if everyone has everything already

Do people get irritated at other games that don't carry over their stuff? Far bigger companies do releases yearly, and nothing carries over - in some cases making you pay for DLC that you technically already own from a previous game

You need the mindset that TBN is NOT TB, it's not a new version - it's an entirely different game. It stands to reason you'd start fresh

Your TB items, progress & TC are all still going to work in TB as they always did

If you decide you don't like TBN then you're free to stay on the older game

i think a bigger issue than the items is the fact that the video shows a head texture creator where u mess with the colors n shit, and it seems like tbs art is going away for stuff that im assuming will be paywalled, like how every other game has you paying 20$ for a skin on ur gun. theres no communication on this front so im just speculating, i hope to god im wrong and i just have to grind for texture items again, but if they arent even a thing in tbn, why? why remove one of the best things about toribash? or even the character creator thing in tbn, like who does this help? if they have texture items n colors like previously this would only benefit people who dont feel like playing for a week or 2 and getting a custom head texture made. this game and community is beautiful and i hate to see game catch up with the times. it makes me physically ill. but again this is all just bs and speculation and i would want nothing more in the world to be wrong
