Harassing other users is not allowed under any circumstance for any reason. If you're found guilty of harassing other users you will be punished.
Some instances of Harassment are inclusive (but not exhaustive) of: spamming, insulting, name-calling, impersonation, usage of slurs (including but not limited to: racial, transphobic, homophobic, or antisemitic slurs), and targeted disruption. We wish to maintain a friendly atmosphere and any form of harassment in public spaces will result in an infraction or ban being immediately issued.
“Public space” is defined as:
Game - Any room that is not password protected
Forum - The entire forum except for private boards
Regardless of what happened. This is taken from the Global Rules. Toribash clearly states that punishment for racial slurs only enforceable on the forum and in-game. Now I could understand if they enforce it on their own discord server. However, enforcing it on someone who did it in DM's is clearly toribash staff mismanaging the game.
Therefore I deem this ban unjustified, and this case solved.
Also someone wrote that things like this shouldn't be discussed on forum because its a witch-hunt. However I think that a witch-hunt is deserved if staff breaks their own rules.

It's still a public space (in-game) wether your speaking with your friends or not. And whether you are black or "identify" as black still shouldn't be any leway with the use of that word. But a gui ban over a dm in a third party platform is absurd. That's like hoping on the Xbox with me and saying it in voice chat or through a dm message and getting banned.
The hypocrisy you display on this subject is quite hilarious. You can say it but no one else can. I don't condone this word or any of these ignorant slurs, but still I don't see the justification if your gonna be a hypocrite about it. Plain and simple.

you know what i would do if i were banned for it? serve my sentence. which i have for the toribash official server instance and i would have if MY FRIENDS had any issue and reported me to toribash staff for it.

Being racist and calling someone a slur are not the same. I wouldn't care who was banned for it. It's the simple fact that the punishment was out of TB jurisdiction and is being treated as if he was in a public space. The rules on this are quite clear. But in any case whether it was reported or not, you did just admit to breaking that rule in game. So therfore punishment should be in order. This is a prime example of the -pot calling the kettle black- the hypocrisy of your argument is laughable.
