Rage Quitters In Ranked (Preventing Progression To Other Players)
Okay so I've been grinding for rank and just because im rank 12 everyone is quitting out losing to me. yes they suffer a 1.1 penalty but what does it matter if they're elo hell. I think personally there should be a timeout for 20 minutes on a rage quitter and i feel as if they quit you should be granted the rank they forfeit so they lost. Any ideas on this?
Or something based on Dota2 Low Priority games where if you leaving lobby, u need to play some games with some kind of punishment.
Or CS based feature huge elo penalty, increasing increasing up to five times with cooldown, and if person leaves unless cooldown is worn off his penalty gets bigger, up to not being able to join Ranked for certain amount of time

well the ranked system is based on winning and losing and i think theres a certain unique charm to picking and choosing your fights based on the odds you have of winning because of the way that the ranked system works it would be really stupid for the rank 1 and rank 2 players to fight eachother instead it turns into like a parallel rivalry where you aren't necessarily trying to beat the other player in a single match.... maybe this could be fixed by hosting a tournament at the end of the top 10 players to see who of them would win overall and have a separate prize pool for it

the battle between the top ranks mid season are not decided in fights against each other but rather decided by a multitude of different fights against others and i think its more interesting this way

if you're really good you can just beat everyone and get a good rank but it takes a little bit of strategy to get rank 1 and thats something that ive never seen before in this game its very refreshing to me at least

SMG clique | i am so fucking scary
If you give points for people coming out in the middle of a fight, and you get them accordingly, it can be used in the abuse of the system, as it's impossible to track because it won't count as a fight.

And you can't ban players from playing for Elo Hell, since every room is now considered a rating server, and there are newcomers who really can't handle the game yet.

My suggestion is to use a no-play timer for 10 minutes in case a person is out/ping in the last day twice or more.

But no one would bother to impose such restrictions on the game, given that servers are unstable these days.

Dude you guys are awesome. I'm glad we can agree on this. Check out my newest post on the tournament system too.

increasing up to five times with cooldown

THIS IS AMAZING WE NEED THIS IMMEDIATELY.
But it would cause a new issue with player bans from a server, just say if you get banned mid game by staff or something. If it isn't public, then it shouldn't do it. Needs to be coded properly so the wrong people aren't getting hurt by the timer.

Ima be real. If you ping out you should lose the game (no timer required for this type of loss even on multiple pings), that's on your internet, not you, but giving a one time option to quit out with no penalty is daunting to some players on a lose streak and causes major greif. I don't want that for anyone.

Players on the timer should be able to close app while the timer drains in retrospect to when it began. Dead By Daylight does this too. Multiple offences could result in a ban from a staff member who checks a newly created list of players incomplete games. Like you said earlier, its untraceable if it wasnt finished. every game should count even unfinished ones, but I'm quite certain they have it the way it is on purpose to keep the website from going down or functionality of the game to stop.

either a ban or a week long timer thats basically the same thing

I think it should just treat the match as a loss for them and a win for you.

I agree with this statement fully.

ive made another post somewhere relating to this. I think newcomers should have normal quick servers theres too many beginner servers in the first place. we need to dumb down the list of servers as well its overwhelming and empty as a fek. Also I made a comment about how the belt should be completely up to par with attaining a rank before they can join into a ranked server for one: To stop randoms from preventing the ranked players. and two: they cant mess with you in an alt unless they are high enough to qualify for a rank. and i made another statement about how ranks should be set for every alt but just swapped name same rank back and forth for logins. unless it's below a green belt then it wouldn't work that way.
-----
but not working that way for those belts is perfect because they cant play ranked anyways if my idea was fully rendered.
-----
What do we do about the people dodging other good players then which seems to be the case for EVERYONE

I've also made a post relating to this as well. It's simple. Rank regression from inactivity. But the time to get a game in takes a week before anything happens regression-like. As long as they play SOMEBODY. Ranked lobbies shouldn't have a spectate option. If you aren't playing then you are waiting for someone to target in the list of players. So, by not getting to spectate you can't necessarily play without PLAYING. This is how we can actually fix it guys!!! That doesn't really stop anyone from exiting the game to another server. and coming back to queue in with a different player. but seeing this in real time players should report for ranked line dodging. We can just call it that for now.
