This has to be further than tabby HAS TO BE!!!
I really hope someone can find a mod for the actual distances traveled from point zero. I went at an angle and hit 5850 even though ITS ANGLED AWAY BY LIKE 200 according to the lua file wouldnt that mean i hit 6000? NEED A BIG BRAINER HERE ASAP.

yeah i was reading on distance travel i have kinda created an obtuse path still reaching 5850 almost every attempt.

The record has traditionally been measured by engage distance not exactly distance travelled, so measuring it based on the offset is something that has never been done and likely won't be just to keep things simple. You're going really fast though, if you can travel in a straight line I think you've got it

Thanks bro. I know id probably beat it by 400 meters, but I went so off the path by maybe 500 distance according to the lines so i was like hmmmm... and my mind goes to trajectory and you are right its a complex measure but if it does break the record with an updated lua (if someone can even make it) thats incredible. and then id be the fastest hehehehehe then youd have to be supa fast and i want to see that tbh

In light of the existence of distance.lua and /opt debug 1 we have decided to amend this now-redundant rule on Farthest Distance Traveled in 500 Frames, we believe it serves only to make the record more tedious than it has to be:

We've also decided to implement this rule because in theory there's nothing stopping you from just throwing your hand and technically covering the distance before the replay ends, as well as shedding a ton of weight from your Tori. These are both methods of play that go against what the record is supposed to be and this rule puts the record more in line with other Distance Records

Under this new ruleset most currently submitted replays are record-legal. Traditionally we do not accept -30 records and we stick to classic gamerules, however the strategies used in this record are meaningfully different from Farthest Distance Traveled in 500 Frames to warrant a new entry. More -30 records could happen provided the strategies are also different

Since I'm a contender for the record, I shouldn't check for replay legitimacy, Szaszuniya can handle that

Okay so what are you trying to say exactly? thats how you can cover the distance? it seems really complex but if someone has that wacky mindset to figure it out then what does that mean? your distance might be further than your lines say then?

Your body should stay intact until you reach the desired distance (do not dismember yourself).

I also think this is a ridiculous rule if you dont throw your body parts advantageously. while you can be right about the weight being off but thats still distance covered without throwing. you could totally dm your head first 10 frames and boogey on down WAY faster. I thought this was about setting records but theres some odd rules that can be dealt with by not abusing a throw for the coverage. I feel like if you are skilled enough to be ground beef and hit 10000 distance or something. you fuckin deserve it!

It's just a more convenient way of measuring, it can technically measure offset too (I checked it, it's not as much as you'd think)

Yeah, keyword "if you don't". Other distance records already required you not to DM yourself so this is not a new rule, merely an old rule that was not officially in place on this record for some reason

I've concluded the results of verifying replays for this record.

SSSDante - The distance covered in the more than 5850 rpl you wanted to submit instead would be a total distance traveled of: 5,850.85.

BOOST - The distance covered in the not exactly fast rpl had a total distance traveled of: 5,764.03.

tabby - The distance covered in the 6180 rpl had a total distance traveled of: 6,163.74.

Since this is a new record, a 50K TC reward will be given to to the player that ends up becoming the record holder after ANY grace period ends, players who submit new replays for contesting the record will reset the 3 day grace period.

All replays have been verified by me, with this post starts the 3 day grace period for this record, if anyone is looking to submit an entry, the current distance to beat is 6,163.74, good luck everyone!!
