I tend to call him E.P.R.D., which stands for Evil Pixel Robot Dragon.

Anti-aliasing is perfectly acceptable when it comes to pixel art, as long as you do it by hand.

Anyways, i'm kinda in the process of making a comic strip, with the events leading up to Mr. Baldie's unfortunate encounter with E.P.R.D... But i'm not sure if i should make pixel text or not, because it takes quite a while to do so, and there's going to be a good deal of text. 'course, i can just faux it, by making the text be non-antialiased...

Anti-aliasing by hand is so much bigger an achievement than using a filter. Gives you bragging rights, too.

As opposed to:
"I used a filter to anti-alias this in a few seconds, bitch!"

'course, if you don't care about bragging rights, i guess it doesn't matter that much.

It would be totally awesome, but what you obviously hasn't realized is that E.P.R.D is from the future, and he could easily take on a major medieval army. I mean, he could take a tank shell to the face, a trebuchet isn't going to do much harm. =P (Think about this: his head weighs several tons and is made of solid metal, and a trebuchet stone weighs 2-300 kg at max, and is made of stone. It'd just splinter on impact, really)
'course, he could just be drawn slaughtering the army, but ehh... Might not be quite as epic.

@MegaDoomer: Well, the shading's actually somewhat off, because as far as i know, an iPod has a completely flat front. If you take something with a flat surface, and hold it in different angles to a source of light, you'll notice that the shadow covers the entire surface, not just the side/corner of it. Personally i'd recommend just shading the very edges, with the two edges that the light hits being brighter, and the two other being darker (assuming that the light comes down from diagonally above). Else, it's good.

But now that i look it up on Wikipedia, i see that some of the newer ones are indeed bevelled, but an image of the one that looks the most like the one you pixelled... (the one to the right)

Doesn't seem to be bevelled. That's probably due to the glass cover, i think. In any case and just for the lulz, a bevelled object COULD look like this:

Sup guise, i have moar stuffs. Not an awful lot, but still.

- An attempt at making a 3D-ish cube. Shadow looks weird, but that's due to the light coming diagonally down from the top-left corner.

- Just a practice cylinder, to see if i could nail the optimal way of making them. I think it went pretty well.

- This is a big landmine that i've also made for Cortex Command.

- This is an even bigger landmine, that i've made for Cortex Command as well.

- Experimenting with isometric, to see if i could make an impossible object. I might not be M.C. Escher, but i think i succeeded. :U
