Buying A PC ( Need Advice! )
Hey guys, well I pretty much decided for Christmas I want to get my own upgraded PC. Thing is I have no idea about PC's and their components. So I asked my friend for a quote, as he get supplied with parts.

The thing is , I want to start off with the best POSSIBLE atleast for me, and from there downgrade due to cost restrictions

So what he gave me is...

Graphics card: MSI NX8600GTS 512mb
Cooler for processor: JET 775 GT2 LOG - Core 2 Duo (Conroe)
RAM: Apacer 1024MB DDR2 240-Pin DIMM , [DDR4300] ( Times 2 )
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 3.0ghz
Harddrive: Seagate Barracuda 320 GB
DVD -drive: LG DVD Writer - DVD+R 20x
Chassis: Midi Chassis,Black/Silver, 400W PSU

Total = R 8410

Thats it, as I said I am totally lost as to what it means. SO what could be better? Don't worry bout price, I will downgrade if I have to.

I'd also recommend a 500 GB harddrive... I filled up 320 way too fast O_o
And i also heard that one can get quad-core CPUs...
