Toribash Wii: Overhype?
Alright, I know we're all excited for the
wii version to come out. I know we all want to play it with our wiimotes, and look at the cool hair, and use all these corny moves they've outlined in the tutorial. Maybe we'll make some replays, and then rewind them just because we can.
Be honest though, does it actually look that good? I think (forgive my bluntness) that it probably won't be worth the time, effort, or money.
Look at what's been shown to you.
There's a bunch of little moves you get taught in neat little 30 second videos. Moves that you can only use in judo, and that any smart opponent could block.
Next, you've got all these great new features that everyone wants to see. Let's make a list, shall we:
Hair (completely useless, doesn't even look good. Mainly just stupid.)
Rewind Feature (Ok, this might be useful for videos, but I'm not sure how it actually works. In terms of replays, you could just start over and press E. It's alright, but not really anything great if you ask me.)
Sticky Blood (When blood hits you, it stays on you. Cool. Wow. Amazing. No.)
Better Graphics (Though not by much. And they give toribash a kind of a digital animation look that I don't find even remotely appeaking.)
Sound Effects (Again, I don't like them at all.)
I'm sure I've missed some things, but really, I don't see how it's gonna be all it's hyped up to be.
Am I the only one who thinks this?
