Project genesis
Hi everyone.
Before i start talking about the project i m telling u i m not really good in english, i d appreciate if u just try to understand what i mean to say ^^.
I' m a new toribasher, only a brown belt, but i want to propose this experiment to the community. The project genesis serves to give a support to new members, to train them and to help them to ameliorate, in addiction of the tutorials. It works in that way:
- x experienced players agree to participate to the project, we make a list of the teachers and the period of time they want to do it.
- a y new player come and say "i d like if someone of the masters could help me with judo (4 example)"
- a teacher wich is disposed to help him in judo says, i ll take him, he contacts the player, they decide when to meet and the number of lessons, or the period of time they ll work togheter.
It' s an organised school of toribashing, i think it would be great for new ppl, and a teacher can get a lot of satisfaction from seing his pupil growin up.
It' s a non payed work, teachers will get only the gratitude of the new players, which for me is a lot. I think a said all, if someone of u would like to do that with me just raise ur hand.
tnx for reading
personally, i don t like ppl who do thing ONLY for cash, they r not good enough to do this experience, it' s obvious that a newbie can' t pay for lessons, if i can t do streaks he ll not earn tc to pay.
This sounds pretty cool :3
Maybe it should have it's own server(s), so that other toribashians won't interfere with
the lessons... Or not.
Of course, it won't be fun if you're assigned to teach an annoying little runt who
starts flaming when they get beaten once... But i do know that nice newbies
exist, so that shouldn't be too big a problem.
Depending on how this turns out, i might apply for Wushu teacher ^_^

even if they can t pay u?

well, i want to thank all the guys which decided, and even those who will decide later, to participate to the project. I m going to take 1 or 2 days to think about the rules and how to organize everything, if u have questions i' m here
It's still possible to give hints y'know >_>
Like, if your enemys foot is approaching your head at alarming speeds, don't bend
towards it. (<--- Bad example, but i think you know what i mean)

But when i look at what you say, i realise that it's true that one can't just teach
people how to play better...
Damn i'm such an oxymoron :P

you have to learn yourself
thats how everyone got better and so should all the newbs
imo, you "masters" just want someone to stroke your egos

sure, go and delete the tutorial section, it serves only to "stroke
the egos" of all the people that spent their time trying teach something useful.
Of course everyone can play and learn moves, it wouldn t have been fun either. But, as u said, to understand completely the game u need to understand the physics first, and this could be a problem for someone. So, i' m not saying that we must go and search the new ppl to help them all, but if some players that can't figure out something ask for help, why shouldn' t we help them? I got helped in whushu today, for example, and i really appreciated that.
