In defense of Christianity: god didn't actually allow Isaac to be sacrificed in the bible - just left him with the comforting knowledge that his father would murder him without hesitation if commanded. But still. It's sad what influence it has.

Firstly, nothing in the article says that this particular sacrifice was done by someone who even read the bible.
Secondly, the child molesting is pretty much exclusively a Catholic priest thing.

Hint: I didn't say anything about why god asked Abraham to sacrifice his son - I just listed the mental trauma which Isaac likely suffered as a result.
