you know...i cant really put into words how this made me feel .its the death of innocence, murdered by adults who 'know better' a transition i dont care for in the slightest. call it what you will, this really is abhorrent to me in all the worst ways, actually made me cry a bit.
basically... yes.

im a big kid at heart and i mourn for the moment of transition into maturity/adulthood
and this comic encapsulates it nicely, with the added aspects of growing up being forced upon us( not quite what i mean but im quite drunk just now and will edit appropriately tomorrow when i know what i mean)

however your interpretation of this seems quite cold, doesnt this provoke any kind of feelings in you Fee?
O-O pure logic no emotion! face palm and a half man, i dont get you!
your ananlysing the shit outta this. dont think just feel!

All it says is how laughably short human life is.
any more? no this is the reason i started this thread, i found it during a period of personal transition and the comic means a lot to me. i want to seee if it means anything to anbody else...( urrr durnkkenn.....)

*please note i will take this thread seriously when im sobre tomorrow
bleh! not drinking rum ever again!

lets see if i can clarify what the hell i was tryin to say last night.

1) it still provokes the same reaction in me, so it wasnt just the booze
2)Fee you are an emotionless robot
3)what delaid said.

i can remember the exact time in my life where that childlike innocence was lost to me, this comic hurts because it shows it being stripped away.

also in relation to odlovs comic, it is sad but doesnt provoke the same kinda passion in me, futility? mortality? pfah! yes we are all going to die eventually and the comic points that out nicely, however im already aware of my own mortatlity and blah

When I was young, it seemed that life was so wonderful,
a miracle, oh it was beautiful, magical.
And all the birds in the trees, well they’d be singing so
happily,
joyfully, playfully watching me.
But then they send me away to teach me how to be sensible,
logical, responsible, practical.
And they showed me a world where I could be so dependable,
clinical, intellectual, cynical.
There are times when all the world’s asleep,
the questions run too deep
for such a simple man.
Won’t you please, please tell me what we’ve learned
I know it sounds absurd
but please tell me who I am.
Now watch what you say or they’ll be calling you a radical,
liberal, fanatical, criminal.
Won’t you sign up your name, we’d like to feel you’re
acceptable, respectable, presentable, a vegetable!
At night, when all the world’s asleep,
the questions run so deep
for such a simple man.
Won’t you please, please tell me what we’ve learned
I know it sounds absurd
but please tell me who I am.
