does anybody know how to solve this logarithm.....if so could you tell me how and the answer... im getting something but im not sure if its right....
heres the question

log(y-1) + log(y+2)=1

could it also be y=-4 at the same time or is that breaking somekind of logrithm law that i forgot....

oh sorry thought you realized that i meant 10 as the base bcuz its standard.....

i was getting (y+4)(y-3) and i wasnt sure if i should get rid of one becuase of the thing mentioned earlier....
