Hi all,

Thank you for your help yesterday. With all the Toricredits being splashed around everywhere we managed to find a very elusive bug that's been biting my bum for a long time.

Now that we've found it and (hopefully fixed it) the website should be 100% faster during high load times. This will stop the forums going down during backups, and school-holidays.

And it's all thanks to you. Thank you for being a valued member of the Toribash Community. :]

Google is better than most people think.

And yeah don't get me wrong. VBulletins search has some functions that google doesn't have.

Depends on which conversion u use..binary one or international system of units...I prefer binary one cause it's the more precise conversion...

I think we can stop talking about which services are running on the tb-server/servers, we all know them.
And plz...if u host an own server u should know the difference between bandwith and traffic Damn...it would be nice to have a bandwith of 50GB/s hehe...than we NEVER will reach the limit even with hardest streaming...lol

As we found out at the last pages it isn't about bandwith or traffic, it's mostly the cpu-time for the search that slows down the forum/site/game.

@Veb and Hamr: I know u all are just doing your jobs and nothing bad against it. I just was a little enraged for the search because I use that function onto all boards/forum wherever I am to keep them clean of double-posts and looking for answers for questions.

Btw. it would be interesting for me to hear how many servers are running for tb. One for all or are the functions/services splitted onto more than one server?

We run a few servers. We have to pay for these servers which amounts to a bit at the end of the month. We get money when people pay for something, e.g. Toricredits. Now, the forum doesn't have advertisements, or anything disgusting like that but we've made it so you simply purchase the option of being able to search (and you get much more with that purchase too).

That's the only monetizing thing that the forums have.

So, to show you how fair I am being... enjoy your 6 month ban, but you can pay $20 USD to be unbanned.
