So. I asked how does one become a gamekeeper. The answer was seriously surprising.

"Just ask."

This is extremely strange to me. I've never understood where all these gamekeepers were coming from, or exactly how they got there. Now I know, and I still don't get it.

Asking and being active on IRC are the only requirements AFAIK.

This is not good criteria. People should be active game server admins and run their own competitions to prove worth before becoming a gamekeeper. Of course I would think this way, as I have more experience than most gamekeepers anyway...

How, you ask?

During old toribash_server days I successfully ran S1GN4LM4N/Dikarika server (S1GN4LM4N is my old name)

I have held countless competitions, giving away registration keys, toricreds, and items without and help or backing from Nabi studios.

Also, I am the creator of many modes. Most famous being Wudang Swordsmen (swords + wushu, which is now used in most twinswords rooms as a default mode), Tai Chi, and Shaolin Style. Also made the recent Olympic Wrestling on bouncy's server.


So here I was, sitting around waiting to be asked. Only to be told its a silly ask Veb thing...

So, can I continue to make epic as a gamekeeper sometime? Or no? I'd like to think I'm perfectly qualified.

Also surprising is how few people remember my server anymore. I'm not even sure if MrPopTart remembers it was his mod test server for a short time...

Youll be better than most of the ass wipes. Most of them just abuse there powers just because they have passes to most of the servers. You hardly see any of them hosting tournaments. Psy-T [Is he a GK?] is the only damn one that is Tidy and hosts tournaments every week. Jees some of them need to get off there asses and stop abusing there powers.

IMO there should be something where a GK has to host a Tournament every 1-2 Weeks if they don't they get fired.

You say its hardwork pat? Try hosting 2 tournys and 1 Video comps for 10k 20k 20k and you end up with 50k out of your pocket. GK is a Job to not so much help the community but provide the community with something fun.

Dik for GK. I really recommend booting some of the less active Gks. [Community WILL provide names.
Psy IMO is the only good working active one. And because hes that good I dont mind the 1-2 Week break after each season [If i may call them series/seasons]
