I personally got to where I am by looking up to my superiors and learning from them and staying away from the habits that cause people to be un-liked or disrespected. Really I got here based off my pure love of the game and I don't want anything to ruin my reputation on it. Some things that helped me to get to where I am(not that I've achieved anything too special) are joining a clan, orgs, making friends in-game or on IRC, staying serious and not slacking off on progressing.

Was mature and responsible. Got know. Started small and eventually it stacked up. You need the courage to ask. People won't just give stuff to you.

Started wibbling > Failed badly, and I never want to do it again
Made friends, one of them even brought me VIP (...)

And that's how I really got here.

Be mature (still). Good grammar helps. Hang out on irc. Talk to people. Apply for shit. Take every opportunity. Never quit a job. Do everything to the best of your ability and then some. Just hang around and stuff will come.
