unofficial toriclans while we wait
A few days ago I talked to crux about doing these improvements. There is still other things they have to do first, so it's still uncertian when they can start on this clan stuff.
In the mean time we could still go ahead with giving toriclans to unofficial clans.
So for the unofficial clans who are doing wars and events, we get the events staff to watch them and tell us which clans to award toriclans. Then only let clans with toriclans apply.
We can just put a % or something in their tag and infront of their name on the forums to show they're unofficial, and just set the link to clan discussion.
This would give us some time to figure out how we're going to run things once the updates are finally added.

- they'll be ranked together instead of separately
avwave just made a little modification so forumids for toriclans are seen as thread ids if the integer is greater than 100000. So we can now link individual threads instead of forum boards. We're all good until these forums have over 99999 boards in it. In the unlikely event that a clan has a thread ID less than 100000, we just post a new thread and merge their DSC into it to change the thread ID to something we can use. And even uric is fully qualified to use it!

Unofficial toriclans idea
Since nobody could think of a decent event (unless this is alright), how about we just sell them?
20k to buy a toriclan
10k per month after that to encourage them to apply.
No more monthly fees once they're official.
Extra TC sink resulting in tags for unofficial clans, finally.
Prices can be varied etc...

Looks really out of place, and nobody will be confused by it because it has no moderator value like %.
We need a new symbol. Windows doesn't allow you to save files with asterisks in the name. So it screws up the auto save ingame.
I'm thinking of a - or something. Anyone got a better idea?
