I don't think so. You'd have to buy black or white. You can transfer Pokemon from Diamond to Black/White, but not the other way around. We'd have to get lucky and get matched up, too, I don't know of any way that you can battle/trade with a specific person except when you're by them in real life with infrared or wireless or whatever.

And Pokemon Diamond/Pearl had some of the best pokemon ever. If we're going back in time, though, I'd pull out my Zapdos. He's a monster with his 383 special attack.

Are the new ones worth getting? I have platinum and it really wasn't that great.

Probably not unless you really wanna catch em all. Soul silver is just a remake for people that were not around when the original came out so thats kinda worth getting i guess . There won't be anymore remakes (at least i don't think so) and i dont see many more genertations coming out soon so black/white might be the last.
They will probably make more mini-game games that are usless instead of rpgs. Wish they would make something liek pokemon stadium again :s.

Yeah, they should make more Pokemon Stadiums. Instead they're getting new Pokemon games for the Nintendo 3DS. I'm not quite sure of the quality of the game, but I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say they're gay.

If you truly want to catch them all, go Black/White. It's got better multiplayer qualities (what with the Global Trading System (wi-fi trading with random people across the globe)), more Pokemon, and you can import the pokemon from the older games onto it (from Diamond/Pearl/Platinum).

And it has that thing where you can only catch Gen V Pokemon until you beat the Elite Four, and it's got a more dynamic pokemon encounter thing, with double grass and shaking spots.

Idk, I think it's worth it.

As for Rotom, I have one, I didn't know it was good, should I train it up?

Yeah you should man, got mine to level 100 its REALLY hard to defeat.

Also i heard that gamefreak are making a 3d pokemon rpg ( like pokemon colosseum except you can actually catch wild pokemon) i think it might be good if they do it right.

Yeah, idk if they'll do it right though, RPGs on portables are hit and miss, and while the Pokemon RPGs are awesome, if they mess up the gaming formula, I don't know if the same quality game would pop out. Colloseum and XD: Gale of Darkness were kick-ass though, so if they make something like that, it'd be cool.

I suspect that they'll just make a hybrid between Pokemon Ranger and the original Pokemon series, with Ranger graphics and Pokemon concepts, which wouldn't be half bad.

I took a look at serebii.net, and there's a Pokemon Card game for DS, and Super Pokemon Scramble, which seems to be some sort of toy-themed pokemon game, I can't really tell. Japan's a hell of a place.

So I'm going to try to revive this a little bit.
Next on my agenda is getting me a Yanmega, but to do that I gotta evolve a Yanma, and to get a Yanma I have to catch 'em from Route 14 during a swarm, so that could take a long ass time. In the meantime, I've set my goal on evolving my Sneasel into a Weavile, but I gotta level him up at night when he's holding a Razor Claw. Silly Pokemon Company has some odd stipulations on evolution nowadays. I miss when you could just level up a pokemon and know that you'll get the next evolution, without having to trade it with or without a certain item, or during a certain time, or with a certain move, or by a certain location. Shit's ridiculous.

Oh, also, my avatar will be the pokemon I'm trying to get to level 100. Currently, it's Swanna.

You thought I forgot about this. I didn't. I think that after I get caught up with school, I'll be making pokemon tori textures based off of the pokemon I get to level 100 as well, so yeah, that might happen. So basically warming this thread back up for it's potential uses.
