^Essentially true. The new clan system, and the ability for individuals to buy their own server has led to there being *far* too many privately run servers.

Sure, there are now >100 servers, but the vast majority are clan::[nubcaek].

Also, the semipro/beginner distinction isn't a bad idea. I remember how annoying it was to even have brown belts on when i was a beginner, and it dosen't even concern many people on this thread, i think, beyond the newbies having somewhere black-belt free to play, which in turn keeps them from taking their flame/spam/ onto the other servers.

Oldschooler only servers? That's taking the oldschooler superiority complex a bit far. I've seen a lot of oldschoolers who are dicks, and there are many non-oldschooler players who are valuable and active members of the community. I'm not sure why anyone would want these (servers) anyway.

ofc, >blackbelt servers are a great idea, but there are already some around anyway...

Something similar happened to me! Our server got set to 6 dan max somehow, neither of us were doing anything with belts at all because everybody is supposed to be allowed in. Well both of us are above 6 dan, so we had to get a mod to fix it for us.
Actually Jepoy I played for 5 minutes, bought the game, and then got better by getting my ass handed to me by more experienced players. I learned very quickly that way and if I had to do it over again I would do it the same way...

And it's fine if they have those servers, but we should get ours too! That's all I'm saying...
I do play on my server. It would just be nice to get some recognition as somebody who has supported this game for a really long time...
