[GM] Tori-Santa

Welcome, everyone, to Tori-Santa, a Christmas event hosted by the Gms!
It is the season of giving (and eating too much as I always find) and I know that there isn't a single one of you out there who would say they don't like receiving presents which is why this event is so enjoyable for everyone.

In this event, everyone participating will be given the name of another participant. The person's name that you receive is the name of the person that you will be playing Santa Clause for.

Sound good? Alright!
To participate in this event all you have to do is post in this thread between now and the 23rd of December. I'll put you on the nice list and then match you all together.
But just posting in a thread isn't very exciting and so that's why I decided to add in some minievents.

Christmas Card Event

Christmas Poem Event

Back to the main thing:
Once you are told who you are sending to it is important not to tell them or anyone else that you are their Santa because it will ruin the surprise. Now all you have to do is plan what you will give them and wait until Christmas day (25/12). Once Christmas day comes around you will have 3 days to send your presents to the person that you have been given. Don't worry, someone out there got a Pm with your name in it.
Remember to give generously with the spirit of the season and hope that your Santa is just as generous.

One account per person.
Entry to this event closes on the 23rd of December.
Names will be sent between the 23rd and the 25th.
Gift sending starts on Christmas day or the 25th of December.
Failure to send the presents by the 29th of December will result in a week long ban.
There is no minimum sending value but you must send something. Also be generous with the spirit of the season.
Any whining that is caused by this event will be ignored.

The nice list can be found just below in the case that you are fretting if your post went unnoticed for some reason.

Nice List

So that's it. Have fun and remember to thank your Santa afterwards.

And with tha, entry is closed as are entries for poems and cards. Stand by to receive your name.
Estimating delivery within a few hours.

I'll post again once all of the names have been sent out. If you signed up but didn't receive a name then please post here. It will probably be due to me misreading your name so don't fret!

Edit:
I know lots of you are probably impatient so I'll keep a log of progress.

Depending on where you live in the world it is now Christmas.
So from me and the rest of the Gms:
Merry Christmas and a happy New Year! Eat, drink, be merry.

This also means that you can start sending presents. If you are a Santa then you can start sending whenever it's Christmas in your timezone. (Or earlier if you want I guess, I'm not going to hunt you down. Heck, if you really want to be by the books you could find out your recipients GMT and give the presents to them when they have Christmas.)
All presents should be sent by the 29th. (All of the 29th included).
Greetings everyone.
I trust that you all had a good Christmas. I know I did.
Anyway, I'm here to announce the winners of the poem and card event.

For the poem event there were two who's poems I really liked. I couldn't decide between them.
So tying for first place is Butler153 and Thorn.
Bravo, bravo.

For the Christmas card event the winner by default as the only entrant is DonutFatal.
Bravo, bravo.

I've re-opened the thread so that you can all share what wonderful gifts you got. This will also be the report thread for people who don't get their presents before the 29th but let's not think about that at the moment.

Here's a little Christmas story I wrote.

Many years ago there was a small town.
Everyone in this town knew everyone else and so there was a great sense of community. Every year the town was covered in
red and green. The colors of Christmas. it got everyone in the festive mood. Even the
really crotchety lady who lived on the edge of town
yielded her cane and donned a smile at Christmas.

Cutting to the chase:
Her son was away in the war this Christmas and she was
really worried for him.
In that time war was fought with men not machines and there was much more danger
so she was very scared and worried.
The villagers noticed this and asked her what was wrong. She
moaned and cried ahs she told them of her son. A little girl stepped forward and gave the old lady a flower
and said "Read the first letter down of every line of the story"
So there's a little bit of Christmas cheer. Be happy and caring this Christmas. Who knows what little thing you might do to change someone else's world.

So has anyone gotten any particularly good presents yet?
